Into the Bush. Wess describes how he rode on the back of his dad’s bicycle to remote villages whose only contact with white men had been slave traders generations earlier.
A New Kind of Love. In one village, his dad helped solve a chronic health problem by cleaning up the water supply. in the process, they discovered how to demonstrate love in a way that the language could never do.
The Fateful Letter. His dad tried to describe what they had done with the water, but had to dilute it to concentrate on the spiritual aspects because helping them improve their lives was not spreading the gospel. That infuriated Wess.
No Either-Or. Wess makes the point that you can’t just focus on the soul of on just the body.
