Chapter 17:
OPEN YOURSELF TO THE SPIRIT FOR A NEW HOLINESS

HOLINESS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. Holiness first and foremost is devotion to God.Three dimensions to growing in holiness.

  1. Practice the spiritual disciplines that promote presence with God.
  2. Discipline ourselves to practice acts of goodness, holiness, justice, love, compassion and beauty.
  3. Remember that we do not make ourselves holy.

HOLINESS COME FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT. It is the Holy Spirit that makes us holy, not our efforts.

A SURRENDERED PERSON. 

HOLINESS AND GOD’S HOLY WILL. “But remember that God’s deepest will is for us to love God and to love others. God wants our devotion most of all, and that devotion will turn us away from sins.”
