The story of her childhood and an early house she lived in with a bunch of drinkers and dope heads. She grew up in Colorado Springs and went to Horace Mann junior high in the late 1980s.

The story of her going to AA out of desperation and kicking and screaming.

Chapter 5: Thanks ELCA!

The story of her introduction to the ELCA and a bit of her journey to the seminary. Her husband once told her in a response to a rant about people who have the wrong opinions, “Nadia, the thing that sucks is that every time we draw a line between us and others, Jesus is always on the other side of it.”

Chapter 6: Hurricanes and Humiliation

A great story about trying to help and being conned and the emotions that caused.

Chapter 7: I Didn’t call you for This Truth Bullshit

The truth and how it is hard to deal with, but when you do, it sets you free.
