The Most Influential Theologian Ever

The story of Augustine’s conversion and deliverance from sexual lust.

Augustine and the History of Christianity. Augustine is probably had greater influence on Christian thinking than anyone besides Jesus and Paul.

Augustine’s Controversies. Four debates shaped his theology.

Human Nature. Augustine’s writing give glimpses into his humanness and his fight against sin.

Adam and Original Sin. There is no evil from God. God created man with free will, which is good. It was Adam that corrupted human nature. Every time we sin, we are implicitly in agreement with Adam’s decision.

When Bad Things Happen to Good People. Augustine did not dance around this question. But, his answers are not very satisfying to a 21st century Christian.

Lessons from Augustine.
